At a family funeral "afterparty" today we laughed over the shared information that there was a book about one of our relatives called "Balls". My Mamere Rose was the oldest of the Trascher children, Aunt to your guy, I think. There were Rose, his father, Ethyl, Millie and Althea, all whom were married many times and very young... a bunch of characters. Their father was a drunken son of a bitch. When Ethyl cut her hair (flapper) he made her stand on the table and had the others circle her chanting "monkey, monkey...". When my mother was a small child he gave her baby rats to play with. The girls all were rebels and crazy flappers. D.Ricca
